In May, 2024, I spent two weeks in the Margo-Gelb Dune Shack in Provincetown, Massachusetts. I spent my time studying the landscape and creating a series of plein air paintings and taking photos to bring back to the studio. My stay here was incredibly rewarding; I have never had this much time to pour solely into my artistic practice. From sunup to sundown, I was either hiking around the dunes birding or painting what caught my eye. I owe my gratitude to Peaked Hill Trust for making sure I was comfortable in the dunes and the Outer Cape Artists in Residency Consortium for putting the whole thing together. Below are select paintings from my experience, all done en plein air in one session.
