My paintings come from a place of constant observation of the outdoors and a deep love for the woods. I give equal attention to both animal and environment, emulating the camouflage one might observe in nature and telling a greater story about the habitat the animal calls home. I am fascinated by the colors, textures, and forms that occur naturally without the influence of humans. My inspiration lies in my passion for birdwatching, the love and peace I find in nature, and my travels, particularly to remote, off-the-grid locations teeming with wildlife. I aim to strike joy and wonder in the hearts of others who may feel encouraged to get outside and explore wild places on their own.
